KATHMANDU — The crowns were out in Kathmandu on Sunday as Prayasna Gurung was named Miss Universe Nepal 2026, while Binita Oli claimed the newly introduced Miss Earth Nepal 2026 title.

Gurung emerged as the winner from a field of 14 finalists competing for the coveted Miss Universe Nepal crown. Her victory places her at the forefront of Nepal’s pageant scene as she prepares to represent the country on an international platform.

This year’s edition also introduced a new chapter for Global Glamour, with the organization acquiring the official franchise for Miss Earth Nepal. Binita Oli made history as the first recipient of the newly introduced national title under the organization.

The evening brought together beauty, fashion and entertainment, with Indian actress and former Miss Universe Celina Jaitly among the special guests at the event. Her presence added an international touch to an evening centered on Nepal’s emerging pageant and fashion talent.
The double-crown format also reflects the expanding landscape of Nepal’s pageantry, where national competitions are increasingly connecting local talent with global beauty, fashion and advocacy platforms.
With Gurung taking the Miss Universe Nepal crown and Oli becoming Miss Earth Nepal, both winners now step into the international pageant spotlight representing Nepal in their respective platforms.
