KATHMANDU — Bollywood actress and former beauty pageant titleholder Celina Jaitly added an international touch of glamour to the Miss Universe Nepal 2026 grand finale, held in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Jaitly was in Nepal for the finale, where the 14 finalists competed for the Miss Universe Nepal 2026 title. Her presence at the event drew attention as she appeared on the finale stage in a striking red evening gown.
A statement in red
For the glamorous evening, Jaitly chose a floor-length red embellished gown that highlighted the elegance of classic pageant fashion. The figure-skimming silhouette featured a structured bodice with delicate shoulder straps and a plunging neckline, while intricate sparkling embellishments and flowing patterns extended throughout the gown.

The rich red colour gave the look a dramatic presence under the stage lights, while the detailed beadwork added a luxurious finish. The gown’s sweeping hemline further enhanced its red-carpet appeal.

Jaitly kept the rest of her styling refined. Her long, sleek, centre-parted hair fell naturally over her shoulders, complemented by subtle earrings, polished makeup and a soft smile. Her understated styling allowed the heavily embellished gown to remain the centre of attention.
A familiar face from the pageant world
Jaitly brings a strong connection to the international beauty-pageant scene. She won Femina Miss India 2001 and represented India at Miss Universe 2001, where she finished as fourth runner-up. She later established a career in Indian cinema.
Her appearance in Kathmandu added a Bollywood and international pageant flavour to an evening that culminated in the crowning of Prayasna Gurung as Miss Universe Nepal 2026.
